Building for the Future; Low energy bills and low cost affordable housing for
Central Bedfordshire businesses and residents

Central Bedfordshire College
, in partnership with South Bedfordshire Friends of the Earth, are holding a prestigious stakeholder conference for Developers, Councillors, Local Authorities, Businesses and Community Stakeholders on Friday, 7 July 2017.

This conference is an opportunity to discuss the local practical opportunities to build low cost affordable housing with Zero Energy Bills and to create low cost realistic energy opportunities for both businesses and residents. The conference builds on a successful pilot undertaken in Leighton Buzzard of large scale Battery Technology, and the local community in Leighton Buzzard simultaneously setting up a Low Carbon Town Initiative.

With significant challenges for Developers and Local Authorities, to meet the need for affordable housing for young people and those on low income, this conference also looks at positive and tested solutions to this issue. Locally there are significant opportunities for businesses to invest in new technology working alongside the Smart Grid and the successes in storage capacity, to create low energy bills for business and residents.
