HM Lord-Lieutenant of Bedfordshire, Helen Nellis, has presented an Ampthill software company with the Queen’s Award for Enterprise (Innovation) and praised them for “pushing the boundaries of knowledge”.

Abiligroup Limited were recognised earlier this year in HM The Queen’s 90th birthday awards for their unique product – a platform for monitoring IT applications and services.  The awards are the UK’s most prestigious business awards and are given only to companies or individuals who are outstanding in their field.

The Lord-Lieutenant visited Abiligroup’s base in Central Bedfordshire to see first hand their product and to meet staff, prior to presenting directors Roy Coutinho and Andy Onacko with their Queen’s Award for Enterprise Grant of Appointment and cut glass rose bowl.

"It was a pleasure to hear such an impressive story of true innovation and entrepreneurship,” said the Lord-Lieutenant, adding: “The team at Abiligroup lead the way in their field and are pushing the boundaries of knowledge. The culture of their organisation is one which allows innovation to flourish and they are an excellent example of how creating the right environment and choosing the right people leads to creativity and new-thinking. My congratulations on their Queens Award."

Andy Onacko said: “We are a niche IT company, that prides itself on employing people that have innovation in their blood. The company attracts people that like to work at the 'bleeding edge' of technology and we believe in giving our people the autonomy to push the boundaries. The result is innovation, like the exciting platform. We are immensely proud to have received this award on behalf of our team.” enables people to search their IT applications and services in the same as searching for information and pages on the internet.
A live mapping system provides information that can determine the root cause of an issue more quickly and this reduces the amount of time a problem impacts business operations, thereby maintain productivity and business reputation. The system is also more intuitive than competitors’ products, making it easier and faster to deploy. For more information on Abiligroup Ltd and click here.
