Peli BioThermal Launches New Central Bedfordshire Based Service Center

Wednesday, 02 March 2016

Central Bedfordshire based business Peli BioThermal has successfully launched its new Service Center serving the global pharmaceuticals sector including the reconditioning of the innovative Crēdo Cube™ range at an exclusive event.

The facility was unveiled at an open day exclusive event and enables Peli BioThermal clients to deploy re-useable thermal protection packaging systems for the pharmaceutical industry.

The new service center, the first of its kind the company has opened in Europe, helps reduce supply chain costs, reducing land fill from packaging waste and reduce the overall environmental impact of the distribution activity without compromising on the quality and security of sensitive medical shipments.

To mark the milestone occasion business leaders from across the globe joined local dignitaries on Thursday, February 25th at Peli BioThermal’s European headquarters, based in Leighton Buzzard.

The new center is the latest expansion for Peli BioThermal, who specialise in the design and manufacturing of temperature-controlled packaging serving the life sciences and pharmaceuticals industry and experienced record growth/sales over the past year.

A ribbon cutting ceremony marked the official opening of the new center, which has boosted jobs locally.

Company executives, Lyndon Faulkner, CEO of Peli Products, and Dave Williams, President of the Peli BioThermal Division, attended the open day from America to address guests at the VIP event.

Business leaders and guests, including the Mayor of Leighton-Linslade, Cllr Ray Berry, Bedfordshire Chamber of Commerce Financial Director Justin Richardson and Richard Carr, Chief Executive of Central Bedfordshire Council , underwent tours of the new facilities.

The visitors heard how the company’s global network of service centers provides comprehensive packages for reusable temperature-controlled packaging requirements including:

• Thorough inspections
• Sanitation using UV light technology
• Replacement components
• Coolant conditioning
• Kitting and packaging options
• Distribution and inventory tracking

Paul Terry, Peli BioThermal’s Director of Sales EMEA, said: “We were delighted to mark the successful, official opening of the new European Service Center.

“The open day event enabled us to unveil to our clients, business leaders and the global community this exciting extension to the current comprehensive suite of services and innovative products offered by Peli BioThermal.”
