Innovate UK is well known for offering grants of up to £5 million to help companies of all sizes develop ground-breaking ideas.

It now offers Innovation Loans of between £100,000 and £2 million with favourable terms to UK-registered SMEs whose highly innovative late stage R&D projects can show a clear route to commercialisation and economic impact.

To date, £163 million has been loaned to around 200 businesses in all parts of the UK, and in March government announced that a further £150 million would be made available as Innovation Loans.

Innovate UK’s regional manager, Howard Partridge and Innovation Loans programme Lead, Hemaxi Bhatt, will explain how businesses can benefit from these and a range of other support.
