Bedford College Careers Events for Employers
In March, The Bedford College Group are hosting a series of careers events across all our campuses. This is an opportunity for employers to showcase their careers opportunities to a wide range of students. These events include:
- At Bedford College on Caudwell Street we offer a wide range of vocational courses to both young people and mature learners. Our comprehensive portfolio of courses includes applied sciences, art and design, business, care and childcare, IT, construction, engineering, hair and beauty, media, performing arts, sports, public services and travel and tourism.
We are looking to run a Careers Fair on the 19th of March from 10:00 until 14:00. We are also aiming to run the careers talks in student tutorials in March.
- At Bedford Sixth Form on Bromham Road, we deliver both A’ Levels and vocational diploma’s in Business, Health & Social Care, Science and Sport and Physical Activity. We are looking to run a full day of events offering employers the opportunity to either deliver a talk, run a stand at the Careers and Wellbeing Fair or both. This will take place on Thursday 28th of March and the talks will run at 09:15, 10:10, 11:20, 12:15, 13:55 and 14:50. The Careers and Wellbeing Fair will run between 13:10-13:55.
- At Shuttleworth College, near Old Warden Biggleswade, (which is our LANDEX accredited specialist college for the land-based industries) we are looking to run talks in the student’s tutorial times. These would be class sized groups of students (usually between 20-30 students in each group). If you are interested in speaking to students studying Agriculture, Horticulture, floristry, outdoor education or fisheries and countryside management please let us know.

In addition to the above events our Business School are running a separate event for employers on 23rd April 2024. They are running a working breakfast and networking event from 08:30 until 10:00 followed by an opportunity for students to meet employers from 10:00 until 12:00.
