Business Network Event returns with positive feedback
The 8th annual Business Networking Event held at Leighton Buzzard Golf Club on the 27 April was well received with a great ‘buzz’ about the evening and the noise of talking was continuous. With over 100 local businesspeople attending and almost 1,200 recorded connections were created using our technology partner for the event, Blendology, who provided electronic business cards that attendees tapped to record who they had met.
Chris from Sandler Training joined the evening with some insightful seminars that were delivered on the topics of “Ever felt a ‘Buyer’ or ‘Employee’ has the upper hand?” and “Are you ‘Busy’ or are you ‘Effective’? discussing the challenges businesses face in today’s economic climate.
Initial feedback has been very positive with attendees stating the event was very useful to their business and they really had a good and enjoyable evening connecting with many attendees.
Due to the pandemic, we were unable to hold the Business Networking Event for the last 2 years, although it was the right decision to take forwards for this year, as the confidence in registering for the event was overwhelming with a lot of new participants attending.
It was a great way for attendees to introduce their business into the vast local business network, share business knowledge and seek out advice and with feedback from local businesses and sponsors means that
we remain confident for next year’s event.
Organisers of the event, Leighton-Linslade Town Council and other key event partners HASCAT Safety, Bee Local Magazine, Alpha Marketing, The Federation of Small Businesses, Bedfordshire Chamber of Commerce and sponsor ActionCOACH, for their support prior to and throughout the event.
This event could not have been delivered without all the partner’s support with regards to input and organisational skills and thank them very much. The Council will continue to support local businesses to start-up, thrive and grow and find the help they need to enable them to do this.
