Cranfield School of Management has been named one of the top international business schools in the latest Bloomberg Businessweek Best B-Schools list 2023-24, which ranked its full-time MBA as 12th in Europe and 4th in the UK. Cranfield’s MBA – known as the Transformation MBA - is ranked number 1 for Entrepreneurship and for Learning, 7th in Europe for Networking, and this year improved its position in every assessment category.
Dr Leila Alinaghian, Associate Professor (Reader) of Business Relationships and Impact, and Director of Cranfield’s Full-time MBA, welcomed the latest accolade: “This year’s excellent ranking reflects the developments made to enhance the Transformation MBA experience. We know that students and employers alike really value Cranfield’s practice-based learning and strong entrepreneurial pathway, so it’s fantastic to see our top ranking in these specific areas.
In the Learning category rankings are based on the quality and depth of teaching, the curriculum relative to real-world business situations, the development of innovation and strategic thinking, collaboration, class size and mentoring from teachers.
Bloomberg is the only MBA ranking that assesses entrepreneurial quality, with Cranfield topping the table in this year’s results. In this Entrepreneurship category, students and alumni rate the quality of training received to start a small business, and whether graduates show drive and exceptional entrepreneurial skills.
As one of the oldest business schools in Europe, Cranfield’s network is mature, diverse, and spans the globe. The Networking category, where Cranfield is placed 7th in Europe, assesses the quality of networks established by students, interactions with alumni, the effectiveness of the careers service, and the brand power of the business school amongst recruiters.
Dr Alinaghian continued, “The full-time MBA has a significant and positive impact on our students’ lives - we know it transforms their careers, networks, knowledge and ambitions. And as they go through their careers, they gain ongoing great benefits from our global network of talented alumni.”
The latest ranking builds on the latest Financial Times Top 100 rankings, which placed Cranfield’s MBA as top 10 in the UK and number 1 for sustainability and industry diversity.
The Bloomberg Businessweek Best B-Schools List 2023-24 measures MBA programmes based on data from more than 18,500 survey responses from graduating students, recent alumni, and recruiters.
