London Luton Airport to host supplier event
London Luton Airport (LLA) is hosting a networking event for local suppliers looking to get advice on bidding for contracts at the airport.
The event will take place at Putteridge Bury Conference Centre on Tuesday 8th November and will include a networking lunch that will provide the opportunity for attendees to meet with members of the airport’s procurement team as well as those from Luton Council and Central Bedfordshire Council.
Terry Gittins, Head of Procurement at LLA commented: “We recognise that our influence stretches far beyond our own operations and we are committed to supporting the local economy by continuing to develop strong relationships with local businesses.
“Last year, 35% of our total supply chain spend was with suppliers based within a 20-mile radius of the airport and our aim with this event is to arm prospective partners with information on our procurement rules and processes and give advice on improving their bidding skills. We look forward to meeting with all local suppliers who are interested in joining the hundreds of businesses that already work with London Luton Airport, either directly on-site or through the supply of goods or services.”
Tickets for the event are priced at £75.00 (excl. VAT) per person, with all proceeds donated to LLA’s charity partners, Luton Foodbank and East Anglian Air Ambulance.
