Do you need some help to grow your business in Central Bedfordshire? Central Bedfordshire Council has launched a new Business Grants and Support Scheme for SMEs to encourage growth and bring forward new jobs and training for local people.

The scheme is offering support in three areas with a maximum award of £5k per business.
a) Empty Property Business Rates Offer
b) Early Pre-Application Planning Advice
c) Public Protection Food Hygiene Training and Coaching Programme

For a business to qualify for support from the fund, you will need to demonstrate that it meets with one or more of the criteria below, which will ensure that the support is directed to the key target areas.
1) Supports an Inward Investment enquiry bringing new jobs in to the area.
2) Assists an existing business already based within Central Bedfordshire to expand and create additional jobs in the area.
3) Supports an existing business already based in Central Bedfordshire to maintain existing jobs.
4) Enables a new business start up and go live.
5) Supports a business to increase skills levels within its workforce.
6) Enhance compliance levels with statutory Central Bedfordshire Council requirements.
