The nation shows its support on Small Business Saturday!
We were absolutely thrilled to hear that there were more than two and a half million more people shopping small this Small Business Saturday compared to 2021.
Despite the economic gloom, it has been amazing to see that the public are still getting out to support and spend at small businesses, and to witness the incredible community spirit that continues to thrive all across the UK.
According to research by our principal supporter American Express, 70% of people said that over the past decade, they’ve become more aware of the positive impact small businesses have on their local communities.
What’s more, 65% said they will continue to shop at small businesses throughout next year because of the impact it has on their community.
A huge thank you to everyone who have made it such a big year for small business! Let's keep thinking local, shopping small and supporting our communities into 2023 and beyond.
