Central Bedfordshire Draft Local Plan

The Draft Local Plan for Central Bedfordshire will be published for consultation, subject approval, at the end of June 2017.
In December Central Bedfordshire Council temporarily paused the publication of the Draft Local Plan for consultation so that they could fully consider the implications of the Government’s Housing White Paper.
Publishing a plan without a proper understanding of the implications could have meant that they had to revisit parts of the process, leading to further delay.
The Housing White Paper was published on the 7th February and is a significant 100+ page document including a wide range of measures.
Having now considered the implications they have adjusted the Local Plan timetable and anticipate (subject to Executive approval) that the Draft Local Plan will be published for consultation from the end of June for 8 weeks.
