Royal Visit to Dunstable

HM The Queen and HRH The Duke of Edinburgh will be visiting Central Bedfordshire today (11/04/17) and will be guests of honour at the flagship independent living scheme in Dunstable, Priory View.

Her Majesty, as Patron of the Zoological Society of London, will open the new elephant care centre at ZSL Whipsnade Zoo and will go on to officially open Priory View which combines 83 state of the art apartments with communal and care services, including a mini-supermarket, spa, gym, hair salon and restaurant.

The Council’s Chairman, Cllr David Bowater, has described the great honour of this Royal Visit; “Everyone who has been involved with the launch of Priory View is delighted at this very exciting news. The residents and staff who live and work there, together with the many professionals who contributed to the development, will be proud as punch to welcome Her Majesty and His Royal Highness to their community.”
